Glebe Digital Mentoring for Seniors!

Get free support with your device with digital mentoring!

COVID-19 lockdowns saw many services and supports shift to online and the digital divide became an even greater concern.

The Digital mentoring program brings UTS international students and Glebe and Forest Lodge seniors seeking support with their devices together. Student mentors will work with you on basic requirements such as checking email, creating folders, accessing MyGov, taking digital photos, talking to friends and family and more! If you are undertaking digital literacy programs elsewhere, the mentoring program can support and supplement learning – such as help them get started, download apps or clarify concepts covered in the programs etc.

You will work together to identify three goals, where and when to meet and for how long. You may wish to meet in a café, park or UTS grounds.

For more involved or advanced requirements, such as learning new software like excel, creating webpages, or coding, the mentor will refer you to a digital literacy program.

If you’re a person aged 55+ living in 2037 area code, and would like to learn more about your device or laptop, understand how to communicate with family and friends, learn about file management or how to access online services (and much more), fill out this form and our Digital Mentoring team will get in touch with you.
