Free counselling with Mandala
Accessible counselling when you need it
We’ve all been doing it tough lately, so it’s important that we make sure we look after our mental health. Unfortunately, many counselling services can prove to hurt the hip pocket, and most of us really don’t need another bill to pay. This is particularly true for vulnerable groups who can experience compounding disadvantage. This is where Mandala Community Counselling can help. Based in Ultimo, Mandala is an inclusive local not-for-profit counselling service that provides affordable professional ongoing counselling services, free to those most in need.
Mandala’s vision is ‘to alleviate distress and build resilience in vulnerable people. Mandala does this to maximise positive life outcomes and to prevent psychological damage to future generations’.
For people experiencing abuse, need help with parenting, struggling with addiction or any other stresses or mental health issues, Mandala is here to help.
Originally part of Lifeline, Mandala are committed to providing unlimited long-term counselling and psychotherapy. Professional counselors and psychologists volunteer their time to support people who would otherwise be excluded from these essential supports.
If you need help, want to make an appointment or would like to get in touch, you can call Mandala on 02 8250 8865 or send them a message. Mandala’s counselling rooms are at: 40 William Henry Street, Ultimo (corner of Bulwara Road).
Mandala’s waiting list is now open for people needing counselling. To be put on the list, www.mandalacounselling.org.au or call their intake officer on 82508865.
