Vision Australia's response to COVID-19

Vision Australia seeks to support blind and low vision community members. As of 18th May 2020, Vision Australia are offering flexible services and products to help you during COVID-19.

Telehealth

Specialist blindness and low vision services will be conducted through Telehealth appointments, using telephone or teleconferencing via Zoom. This means you don’t have to venture out of your home to get the support you need.

Telehealth services will attract a fee like face to face services but these will depend on the funding you have.

If you need help using the telehealth technologies, you can contact the help desk on 1300 84 74 66 (free service) or email info@visionaustralia.org to book an appointment.

Here is a short video by Karen Knight from Vision Australia, explaining the telehealth option:

Check in and Chat webinars

Vision Australia also have free check in and chat webinars each Tuesday and Thursday. Webinars are 30-40 minutes long with discussion and Q&A with Vision Australia experts. You can find out more on the Check in and chat page, or email them: checkinandchat@visionaustralia.org

COVID-19 Support line
