Glebe Service NSW Discounts and Financial Support
We all know what it’s like to hit hard times, especially with COVID-19 still lingering among us. Service NSW is offering a number of great financial support services to help take some of the burden off. We’ve collected some options for you here:
Active Kids Voucher
This program supplies two $100 vouchers for use by parents and guardians of 4.5 to 18 year old children in sports and active recreation activities at registered activity providers.
The first voucher is valid from January to December and the second from July to December.

Family Energy Rebate
This rebate helps households with dependent children cover the cost of their electricity bills. It is available for the 2020/2021 financial year starting late July.

Appliance Replacement Offer
NSW Residents who are holders of a Pensioner Concession Card, Health Care Card or Low Income Health Care Card from Centrelink or Veterans' Affairs Gold Card may be eligible for a discount on a new fridge or TV.
If your fridge is at least 10 years old you may be eligible for a 40% discount on a new fridge, and if your TV is a plasma or cathode ray tube (CRT) display you may be eligible for a 50% discount on a new TV.

Fair go for safe drivers – discounted licence renewal
NSW drivers with a good driving record may be eligible for a 50% discount on their license renewal fee. Drivers must have held a NSW drivers license for at least 5 years and have no demerit points or relevant offence/s recorded in those 5 years.
This discount will apply when you renew your license. It does not include learner or provisional P1 and P2 licenses or interstate and overseas licenses.

Energy Accounts Payment Assistance
Service NSW are offering Energy Accounts Payment Assistance (EAPA) $50 vouchers for those having difficulty paying their current household electricity bill because of a short-term financial crisis or emergency, such as unexpected medical bills, or reduced income due to COVID-19.

Rent Choice
Rent Choice is a private rental subsidy that helps you pay the rent for up to 3 years.
It supports access to safe and affordable housing for eligible clients who can show that they're able to sustain a tenancy in the private rental market.

Taxi Transport Subsidy Scheme
The taxi transport subsidy scheme (TTSS) supports NSW residents who are unable to use public transport because of a severe and permanent disability. If you're eligible, you'll receive a book of subsidy dockets to use for up to half the metered fare, to a maximum of $60.00 per trip.

NSW Spectacles Program
This program provides glasses and visual aids to eligible recipients who might be at risk of a preventable decline in their eye health.
Eligible people can receive free of charge one pair of single vision glasses or one pair of bifocal glasses. Contact lenses, tinted lenses or low vision aids may be provided in certain circumstances.
