Homelessness during winter chills - Link2Home and Ask Izzy
Homelessness is tough but in winter it brings new challenges. It is important to know the avenues for support that are available if you or someone you know may be homeless or close to homelessness. Here are two support services that can help you:
Link2home - This state wide information and referral telephone service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year.
In NSW you can call their homelessness line on 1800 152 152. You can also contact them on the numbers below:
Domestic Violence: 1800 656 463
Child Protection Services helpline: 13 2111
Callers will receive information, an assessment to determine the type of help they need and referral to services and specialists as required.
Visit the Department of Communities Services (DCJ) Link2Home webpage for more information.
Ask Izzy - Ask Izzy is a website which helps you find support services near you. The service is free and anonymous and can span housing, meals, healthcare, counselling, legal advice, addiction treatment and more.
You can also contact DCJ housing officers or community housing providers. In Glebe, the closest housing providers are:
