Supermarket priority assistance

Supermarkets such as Coles and Woolworths have created initiatives to help the elderly, people with a disability, those with compromised immunity and people in mandatory isolation.

Coles

  • Community hour: 7am – 8am

  • Coles Online Priority Service (COPS) will be launching soon for customers who are unable to easily access a Coles Supermarket.

Woolworths
Central Park is Glebe’s closest Woolworths

  • Woolworths Community Hour: 7am to 8am Monday, Wednesday and Friday

  • Priority Assistance delivery - Order online and get groceries delivered. Customers need to register online or call their Customer Care team on 1800 904 698

  • Basic Box - A box of essential products for vulnerable customers who are currently unable to visit their local Woolworths. The box costs $80 and helps provide meals, snacks, and a few essential items for those in genuine need. Items in the box can not be changed or swapped. You can find out what is on the box and register online or call the Woolworths Customer Care team on 1800 904 698

IGA Glebe
IGA is offering priority delivery to the following groups of people:

  • Anyone in isolation because of exposure to or a confirmed case of COVID-19, including anyone who has returned from overseas in the last 14 days.

  • Anyone aged 70+

  • Indigenous people aged 50+

  • Anyone 60+ with a chronic illness

  • Anyone with respiratory issues

  • Anyone eligible for the NDIS

  • Healthcare workers
